Tara’s work is all about mind and memory. She has developed a print-based art process to represent the intricate layers of human memory. She is directly informed by her immediate surroundings and focuses on themes of ‘the ordinary’, ‘the mundane’ and ‘the easily forgotten’. What is most interesting is that these artistic outcomes made of ‘the everyday’ sit against a backdrop of global irregularity. Throughout Tara’s work, the ordinary takes on an extraordinary status - even a trip to Asda is now recorded as an unforgettable experience!
It is with this notion, Tara has titled this body of work, ‘Today’s Memories are Extraordinary’.
