Artist Statement:

During this project I've explored themes such as communication, conversation, and formational language. Creating sculptural forms that are inspired by a variety of concepts from the natural world such as hidden ecosystems, seed pods, and plants. I like to research concealed natural channels of connection such as growth and decay and create sculptures that bridge the gap between humans and natural world. I like to think of my sculptures as tools or amplification devices that aid connection or expel information, I think this makes the sculptures themselves have their own characteristics and personalities as objects.
