Connor Alexander Parker

A project conceived within 2021's lockdown, I felt myself under the pressure of undergoing coursework, maintaining relationships and keeping myself healthy all whilst stuck in my bedroom. I felt "Boxed In".

This was a feeling that not just I, but many others had experienced at the time. So I illustrated various bedrooms sent to me by friends and followers in order to demonstrate that shared experience of living in our own boxes.

A Year in Edinburgh is a celebration of the many people and places I've seen and experienced throughout the past year. I've done many sketches across three sketchbooks, which have been compiled together in this one book. The rest of the pages can be seen on my website.

I always love visiting the National Museum of Scotland and taking in the awe-inspiring exhibits, so I wanted to illustrate them in a nice little zine which might encourage people to experience the museum for themselves.
