Bio

I am a multi-disciplinary designer interested in using research, digital technology, visuals and different mediums to explore the role of design. Through this course, I have developed my practice on using game design, interactive technologies and 3D graphics to respond to the social topics I am interested in.

Doomulator

Forming a game design practice to reflect on our online scrolling behavior

As doom-scrolling affected me a lot in 2020, I started researching the importance of this behaviour. During my research, I discovered my news-reading addiction is not something personal but a collective memory in 2020 and I decided to develop a game as a design response. My project further looks into the relationship between journalism and design and the design practice of Newsgame, for developing the design response on doom-scrolling. The game development draws inspiration from a variety of successful game developments and genres, forming a game design practice that focuses on storytelling on current affairs and games for reflection and creates changes.
