MA Film Directing Graduation Show
Each student on Edinburgh College of Art's MA in Film Directing makes their own short documentary film, which they personally research, shoot and edit over the course of a year.
Date: 20 August 2021 - 27 August 2021
Time: See booking pages for screening times
Location: ECA Cinema Space

Ranging from sensitive explorations of mental health and identity to deeply personal films exploring questions of family and belonging, each film is unique and seeks to explore an innovative approach to documentary form. Given the highly international nature of our student cohort, the films open fascinating windows onto contemporary lived experiences across the world, from rural China and small-town Brazil to closer to home in Scotland. Made within and around the Covid-19 pandemic, they are a testament to the resourcefulness and imagination of a new generation of young documentary filmmakers.

This is a unique opportunity to watch the films, for free, before they embark upon the festival circuit.

To allow us to showcase the films to as many people as possible, the screenings have been split into two groupings, with group A showing their films during selected slots Friday 20 - Monday 23 August, and group B showing Tuesday 24 - Friday 27 August.

You can find full details of when each individual film is being shown on the booking pages.
